TO BECOME A SIMUNITION® APPROVED RANGE PROGRAM MEMBER

The Simunition® Range Program is a service created by Simunition® to help qualified ranges, such as those used by private trainers under contract, to train law enforcement, military personnel as well as responsible armed private citizens, to get properly up to standards for the use of Simunition® training products.

If you are an Instructor and would like to join our Range Program, you must fulfill the minimum requirements, which are:

  • Firearms Instructor credentials from one of the following certified bodies (NRA, Military, Law Enforcement, Technical College or Private Industry ie., Sig Academy, Smith & Wesson Academy, Gunsite to name a few);
  • Proof of $2 million liability insurance annually - find example attached
  • Agree to follow the Simunition® Safety Guidelines;
  • Mandatory attendance and successful completion of the Simunition® Safety Certification Course, online or as a one-day course - see below for more details;
  • Agree to purchase the full FX® Training System including the ammunition, conversion kits and protective gear.
  • Formal agreement to not resell our products;

TO TRAIN ON-LINE

This on-line Simunition® Safety Crtiification Course is intended for Simunition® Approved Range Program Members and Certified Firearms Instructors.

The main advantage of the online Simunition® Safety Certification Course is the convenience of learning at your own pace, at work or in the comfort of your home. The estimated time to complete the course is 4 hours. At the conclusion, you are tested and must receive a grade of 80% or higher to receive your certification. You are allowed to take the test a second time, at no charge, if you fail the first.

To be allowed to train on-line, you must fulfill these requirements:

  • You must have completed and sent the Range Program Application Form;
  • You must have provided a proof of $2 million of liability insurance;
  • You must have a complete, sign and notarize Commercial Range Program Agreement;
  • You must pay a course tuition of $70 by credit card;
  • Once completed, you will be given an access code from the Simunition® Commercial Range Program Coordinator by email. If you have any questions concerning the Commercial Range Program registration process, please call Simunition at 860-404-0162 or 800-465-8255.

TO ATTEND A ONE-DAY SIMUNITION® SAFETY CERTIFICATION COURSE

The one-day Simunition® Safety Certification Course is intended for Approved Range Program Members and Certified Firearms Instructors.

The main advantages of attending the one-day course are the face to face interaction with a Simunition® Certified Instructor and the ability to see the physical rounds, kits and protective equipment.

To be allowed to attend the one-day Simunition® Safety Course, you must have fulfilled these requirements:

  • You must have completed and sent the Range Program Application Form;
  • You must have provided a proof of $2 million of liability insurance;
  • You must have a signed agreement with Simunition®.

  • Then, you must contact our office ( 1-860-404-0162 or simunitioncrp@can.gd-ots.com) so Simunition® can request approval from the Law Enforcement Host Agency;
  • Lastly, you must pay, prior to class, a course tuition of $200 by credit card.

Students should bring only note taking material to the one-day course, all other equipment required for the class is provided by Simunition®.


TO ATTEND A SIMUNITION® FREE SEMINAR

Simunition® provides periodic free seminars around the US to promote and demonstrate its Simunition® FX® Training System. The primary goal is to demonstrate the Simunition® FX® Training System to responsible gun owners, as well as safe and realistic gun handling skills.

At the seminar, you learn that the Simunition Training:

  • Is a tool that allow you to train in a safe, yet realistic environment;
  • Complements traditional firearms training;
  • Conditions responsible gun owners to improve critical gun handling skills and decision making ability under stressful conditions;
  • Introduces stress to training participants without compromising safety.

The course is conducted in a classroom. Casual shooting attire is recommended for the class. We suggest students wear trousers, light jacket and long sleeve shirt. Students are only required to bring note taking material. All training equipment (ammunition, conversion kits and protective equipment) is provided by Simunition®. Students are not allowed to bring live personal weapons or ammunition during this seminar.

Seminar duration: 3 hours

Seminar location: Avon , CT on October 21, 2014 and December 8, 2014

No charge but must register by calling the office at 860-404-0162 or by email at simunitioncrp@can.gd-ots.com since the seminar is based on meeting minimal attendance numbers.
